Senior British Open: Padraig Harrington is a one -shot lead for late Buddy Thomas Bern | Golf news

Padraig Harrington abandoned the last hole under the age of 65 years of age last Friday, and won one shot at the British Open Senior Open with the second major title of the year.

The defensive champion KJ Choi recorded the lead in the second round in SUNNINGDALE’s Old Course until he took Bogeys on the 16th and 17th. Choi had to settle 67 years old and was a shot with 63 -year -old Thomas Bjorn.

Harrington is trying to be the fifth player to win the British Open and Senior British Open.

“I have a problem with many other holes after scoring in the place where I score,” Harrington said. “I played some recovery shots and managed my game, but I didn’t show any confidence at all in the swing. I definitely like 72 holes and a bigger golf course suits me.”

Senior British Open is the fifth major of the PGA Tour Champion. There are 54 regular tournaments. Harrington won the US Senior Open in Colorado’s Broadmoor.

Bjorn was angry Dane on Friday and worked with his favor. He was angry about ruining a good start in the opening round with three vogue over the last four halls. He first conveyed the frustration with four birdies in five holes.

He made an eagle on the 11th of 320 yards. And after the shot was dropped in the hole on the 16th and 17th, he finished with a birdie.

Bjorn said, “I just came out of the mode that I knew yesterday and hit the ball well. I knew I was playing well, but I was angry.”

“I went down and hit a big shot at 2 o’clock.

“The first 12 holes were absolute joy.”

Two of them were Ernie ELS and JUSTIN LEONARD, which were cut in British Open last week at Royal Portrush.
