Emily tested this on her Bissell Little Green. Here’s what she had to say…
I never thought I could love a cleaner smaller than my Bissell Little Green, but this Shark handheld vacuum really made me think twice! While I truly believe both are great performers and a must-have for every home, here are the key differences:
- Shark's suction power is stronger than Bissell's
- The Shark's bristles are firmer than the Bissell's, but I didn't like them because they were too rough on the sofa fabric. That said, you can swap out the brush head for a softer silicone bristled brush, which I really liked!
- The Shark's main brush head is actually a crevice cleaning tool, which was very convenient.
- The Shark vacuum cleaner is slightly smaller than the Bissell.
- The Shark package includes more brush head options, including a similar Bissell Stain Trapper tool that would normally cost you about $40 to purchase separately from the main Little Green appliance package.
- The Shark vacuum's cord is shorter than the Bissell's (I had to buy an extension cord separately when cleaning my car).
- Shark products are sold in two separate bottles and are slightly more expensive than Bissell products.
Overall, the two devices are pretty similar, but the Shark is a bit more powerful, smaller, and has more attachments. However, the cost of the cleaning solution and the need to use two of them are a bit of a turn-off. This is a really convenient cleaning device, and I highly recommend it!
