Silversea ship to spend entire summer 2026 in French Polynesia: Travel Weekly

Silversea Cruises plans to spend its entire 2026 summer season in French Polynesia, citing strong demand for cruises in the South Pacific.

The 392-passenger Silver Whisper will be joining French Polynesia cruises, with multiple night stays at various destinations during seven- and 14-day voyages.

Between April and September, Silver Whisper will sail 17 times from Papeete, Tahiti. Silversea has opened pre-sales for all 17 sailings.

The seven-day Society Islands cruise stops overnight in Moorea and Raiatea, and overnights in Huahine and Bora Bora. According to Silversea, the three late departures make the most of guests’ time in Papeete, Moorea and Huahine.

The 14-day voyage visits the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands. Guests explore Moorea, Raiatea, Fakarava, Nuku Hiva, Fatu Hiva, Atuona, Tahuata, Rangiroa and Bora Bora with overnight calls before returning to Papeete.

On both itineraries, guests will have the opportunity to relax on a private island.

Additionally, the region’s travel offerings are further enhanced with a 21-day Easter Island sailing departing from Valparaiso, Chile on March 16, and two combination sailings.

Silversea said the rapid capacity growth over the past decade has opened up opportunities for deep exploration in areas such as French Polynesia. Silver Moon, Silver Origin, Silver Endeavour, Silver Dawn and Silver Nova have joined the fleet since 2021. Silver Ray is scheduled to enter service in June next year.
