Lambourn won the Chester Vase last year and had a very good win at Epsom with Wayne Lordan’s excellent lead driving.
His season has been a blur, but he’s back on the road today and back on the track where he performed well last year, so he deserves the favourite.
The Bay City Roller capped off a memorable season last year by winning the Group One Grosser Allianz Preis von Bayern after George Scott performed well in France. But he will have to give Lambourn £5 for a Group 1 win, which could prove costly.
4.10 Chester – O’Brien’s Kingstonian leads a competitive Plate field.
