Toby Lawes’ charge has gone from strength to strength since joining the yard at Lawney Hill. A big improvement on trips appears to be key and he has won three of his four starts at Lawes, the last of which came at Kempton last week. This means he will have to ignore the penalty, but it would be dangerous to ignore it.
Mr Hope Street He emerged as a major risk after putting on nine pounds following a clash with poor rivals at Carlisle last time out, but must continue his rapid progress for Skelton’s team.
tuna warrior They came up short at Southwell last time out to win but were narrowly denied. He’s gained five pounds since then and appears to need improvement to be a factor here.
3.00 Lingfield – Hebridean Nomad and Santorini Star appear.

The Santorini Star caught the eye of William Haggas in Tony Bloom and Ian McAleavy silks. The three-year-old looked very exciting as he won at Kempton after making his second debut on the course. Strong pace suits her best and she should continue to improve from here.
Hebridean Nomad has been rested for 433 days but has shown promise in two starts, beating the 82-rated Dunstan at Kempton and that form makes his record look very fair.
partisan hero After a long break he switched to stable Dave Loughnane and then started the race with another long break. However, in the one run between these he finished second on grass and could go one better if he adapts well to the all-weather surface.
6.30 Newcastle – Barnaby looks for a fifth man.

Kevin Ryan’s course and distance specialist is once again back at Gosforth Park after attacking there 10 days ago. He has been slowly rising through the ranks, and although he has lost three pounds to help Oisin McSweeney, he now shows a gain of 21 pounds. If it continues in the same vein, it will be difficult to win.
Starliner Last time over this course and over seven furlongs, Linda Perratt and Tommie Jakes won easily. The 3-year-old gained 4 pounds for this but still needs to be competitive.
veteran bobby joe legs He’s struggled for consistency recently, but had the best performance of his career around this time last year. He gained five pounds from his last win despite not having had success since February when he was seeking his 15th win in his 98th score.
