Stranded cruise ship battles Hantavirus outbreak
Government and health officials are scrambling to evacuate sick people from the MV Hondius, a ship anchored in the Atlantic Ocean. The World Health Organization (WHO) said the risk to the general public from the rare pathogen is low.
I am currently on board the MV Hondius. What is happening now is very real for all of us here. We are not just talking. We are not just headlines. There is a lot of uncertainty and that is the hardest part. All we want now is to feel safe, have clarity, and return home.
