Do you feel personally harmed by the multiple avalanches that occurred in 2026? (Hello, this is me, currently buried in two feet of snow!) So you could probably use a lot more than just that. taste Spring by now. But we’ll take what we can get, and fortunately, some of our favorite fast food joints are actually offering new spring-inspired sweets and drinks as we slowly head towards the changing season.

With St. Patrick’s Day just a few weeks away, we’re seeing the usual fresh mint-flavored suspects popping up everywhere. But if you don’t like mint, don’t worry. There are plenty of new spring menu items that go far beyond the Shamrock Shake. Many places are introducing new menu items inspired by fruit and floral flavors reminiscent of springtime blooms. Think strawberries, lavender, lots of matcha, and even a little banana.

If we all enjoy a little taste of spring, wouldn’t we be able to bring warmer weather together? It’s worth a try!

McDonald’s Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry

Of course, starting February 17, McDonald’s Shamrock Shake will be available in St. Louis. I have to start off with the obligatory mention that I’m back for the season at Patty’s. For starters, this shake combines creamy vanilla soft serve with minty “Shamrock Syrup” and is topped with a large dollop of whipped cream. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is also back for a limited time. It’s basically a thicker version of a Shamrock Shake with Oreo cookie pieces added.


Starbucks’ new iced matcha and seasonal spring menu

Keep St. Patty’s season green without the refreshing mint vibes by welcoming two new fruity matcha beers to Starbucks’ year-round menu. Launched in early February, matcha fans can now enjoy Starbucks Iced Double Berry Matcha with strawberry puree and matcha topped with raspberry cream cold foam and Iced Banana Bread Matcha with brown sugar syrup, banana cream cold foam and caramel crunch topping.

Starbucks will also launch its full spring menu starting March 3, including the new Iced Lavender Cream Chai and returning seasonal fan favorites such as Iced Lavender Cream Matcha, Iced Lavender Latte and Lavender Crème Frappuccino. There’s also a new Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew, Toasted Coconut Latte, and Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato. And don’t forget to grab some adorable frog cake pops while they last!


Cinnabons Berry Extra Treats

This February, Cinnabon launched its Berry Extra menu of new strawberry cheesecake-inspired treats available now through May. There’s the Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Bon, Strawberry Cheesecake Topped CinnaSweeties, and Strawberry Cheesecake Topped Center of the Roll, all topped with smooth cheesecake frosting, strawberry puree, and crunchy streusel. Don’t forget the strawberries and cream chilatas to wash it all down!


Rita’s Shamrock Cream Ice and Frozen Matcha

Starting February 23, Rita’s is bringing back Shamrock Cream Ice for a limited time. Enjoy it as a misto shake or blended custard snack, sipped with Oreo cookie pieces, or as refreshing gelati topped with custard chunks.

If you’re not a fan of mint but still want to enjoy a refreshing spring drink, Rita’s has launched a new frozen matcha drink. The sip-able treat combines matcha with Rita’s Vanilla Italian Ice and can be enjoyed on its own or with strawberry or caramel. Even better, this matcha drink is a permanent menu addition, so you don’t have to miss out if Rita’s isn’t open for the season yet.


Cold Stone Creamery Spring Flavors

Cold Stone Creamery has launched two mouthwatering, fruity flavors perfect for spring: Strawberry Marshmallow and Lemon Cake Batter Ice Cream. Of course, you can have it however you like, but Cold Stone recommends The Berry Best S’more, strawberry marshmallow ice cream with fudge, marshmallow cream, and graham cracker pie crust, and the Lemon Berry Batter, a mix of lemon cake batter ice cream, lemon Oreo cookies, lemon pie filling, and strawberries. This fruity, fresh flavor is available now through May 12th.


Dairy Queen Mint and Savannah Banana Treats

Dairy Queen launched its lineup of Mint Crunchin’ Cookie treats on February 23, including Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone (vanilla soft serve with chocolate cookie crumbles dipped in mint coating) and Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Parfait, layered with Oreos and mint cookie dip. Fan-favorite Mint OREO Blizzard Treat is back as March’s Blizzard of the Month. It features vanilla soft ice cream mixed with creme de menthe syrup and topped with crunchy Oreo cookie pieces. To dip every spoonful into even more mint goodness, order an extra Mint Crunching Cookie Coated Sidecar!

Additionally, springtime and baseball go hand in hand, so it’s fitting that Dairy Queen launched its collaboration with the Savannah Bananas on February 23rd. The Savannah Bananas Split Shake features fresh bananas, strawberry topping, and chocolate shavings blended with real milk and topped with whipped cream topping.


Scooter Coffee Spring-Inspired Menu

Scooter’s Coffee debuted its sizable spring menu starting February 19, featuring classic flavors like caramel and cinnamon and inspired seasonal drinks like the new Strawberry Shortcake White Mocha Latte with strawberry drizzle and graham cracker crumble. Also available are Lavender White Mocha and Berry Lavender Matcha. Both can be ordered hot, iced, or blended, as well as the Lavender Ice Berry Red Bull Infusion. Also available for a limited time are mini chocolate mint chip cookies for a little taste of St. Patty’s Day.


Wendy’s Thin Mint Frosty

On February 16, Wendy’s relaunched its Girl Scout Thin Mints treats. You can choose the classic Thin Mints Frosty with mint cookie crumble sauce and cookie butter swirl. Or, you can upgrade to the new Thin Mints Frosty Fusion, which adds real Thin Mint cookies to the mix. Even better, Wendy’s is a licensed partner of the Girl Scouts of the USA, so no matter what treat you make, you’re helping the troop.


Jack in the Box Matcha Menu

Jack in the Box marked a very exciting milestone for matcha lovers on February 19th. That’s because not one, but two matcha drinks are on the menu. Many coffee shops serve matcha these days, but Jack in the Box is actually one of the first fast food chains to debut its own matcha drink. There’s the Matcha Iced Latte, made with real matcha, sweet cream, and vanilla, and the Oreo Matcha Shake, a creamy vanilla shake mixed with matcha and Oreo cookie crumbles and whipped topping.


Costco Double Chocolate Mint Sundae

If you’re heading to your nearest Costco to stock your pantry, don’t forget to stop by the food court before you head out. The members-only warehouse club’s beloved $1.50 hot dogs and giant pizza slices recently got a new sweet treat that’s already competing with McD’s Shamrock Shake and Wendy’s Thin Mints Frosty. Costco’s Double Mint Chocolate Sundae is layered with refreshing mint soft serve ice cream and chocolate fudge sauce and topped with crunchy chocolate cookie crumbles. Currently on sale for a limited time.

Dunkin’ may not be going traditionally eco-friendly this year for St. Patrick’s Day, but leaked information suggests Dunkin’ may be launching a massive spring menu on March 4, as reported by trusted food influencers like Snackolator and Markie_Devo. Three new matcha latte flavors will be included: Bananarama, Goin’ Nutty, and Blueberry Pie. ~ no Mint this March.

In addition to the new matcha flavor, Dunkin’ appears to be introducing more bananas as it’s rumored that you’ll be able to add banana syrup and banana cold foam to your favorite drinks, including Banana Pudding Cloud Latte, Naughty Banana Dunkarla Latte, Monkey Business Latte, Strawberry Banana Daydream Refresher, Banana Berry Protein Refresher, and Banana Shaking Espresso. But if you prefer berries, there’s also mention of the new Berry Acai, Berry Strawberry and Berry Blue Lemonade Refreshers, as well as six new fruit-flavored sugar-free energy drinks.
