My reuse toothpaste recipe has always been very popular, but there have been some problems. It must be saved in the jar. And thanks to the coconut oil, it can be really hard for cold weather. This compressed handmade toothpaste version solves these problems and provides softer consistency!
You can use distilled water (greatly shortens storage life). Instead, you can use MCT oil. And because it’s on the tube, it’s easier to share than a jar. Do you feel like making yourself? Check this reconstruction toothpaste in wellness. They come to the same taste as mint, cinnamon, strawberry for children.
Taped handmade toothpaste
The following is to take a closer look at the ingredients and what they are beneficial to the teeth.
- calcium -As our teeth are mainly made of calcium, so brushing with it helps to maintain a healthy level. Diet is really important!
- Xylitol -This naturally sweet sugar alcohol shows many promises to dental health. Studies can help to reduce plaque and bad bacteria in the mouth. It is also known to reduce the amount of cavity and can help to reconstruct the cavity.
- Coconut oil -It helps to reduce bad bacteria in the mouth that causes tooth decay and gum disease. It can also help fresh breathing.
- Baking soda -Write the teeth smoothly and help you whiten. It also reduces plaque and supports a healthy mouth. It can cause too much gum irritation, so I like to include it with other ingredients.
- Bentonite clay -It is an option, but there are many minerals to support enamel. It also adsorbs heavy metals and helps to detoxify your mouth.
- Tracking minerals -The enamel will help to further strengthen the enamel by providing more minerals.
Add essential oil
They add a pleasant taste as well as antibacterial and antifungal characteristics. Use only high quality essential oils that are safe in your mouth. This includes cinnamon, cloves, myrrh, peppermint, spearmin, sweet orange, fennel and tea tree. Some oils are more irritating than other oils such as cinnamon and cloves, so they are not required.
Here’s how to create your own compressed toothpaste!
Pressure handmade toothpaste recipe
This handmade toothpaste works well on the tube and easily presses, shares and travels.
Mix all the ingredients except clay into a mini food processor and mix well.
When it gets soft, slowly add the bentonite clay and mix it with a non -metal mechanism (Bentonite clay should not be in contact with metal). If you do not have a food processor, you can use a flooded blender or whimsky/fork in a bowl. Do not use a closed blender like a magic bullet.
Store in a small glass bottle or a tube that can be pressed.
Use it like a normal toothpaste.
- Due to coconut oil, this toothpaste is thicker when it is warm and thinner when it is warm. However, it must be compressed at normal room temperature (70-75 degrees). If you have a runny nose or too thick, add more liquids or calcium.
- Adjust to taste essential oils.

Handmade toothpaste FAQ
Q. What is the best calcium/calcium magnesium type to use?
I attempted a lot of calcium and calcium magnesium powder and received feedback from dozens of readers. The consensus is that calcium carbonate is the best choice. Certified calcium and magnesium powder can cause problems like explosive reactions.
Q. Are you okay with sensitive teeth/fillings/veneer/children?
Especially if you have a dental condition, always check with the dentist before changing the dentist. My children and I used this, including teeth with fillings, not amalgam (before I know about remineralization). All ingredients are generally considered to be safe for consumption, so if you have any doubt, check it to the dentist.
Q. What kind of common reactions are you in the first week? (Some sensitivity increases)?
I didn’t respond, but some people seem to experience sensitivity for the first week using handmade toothpaste. In particular, if you have been using commercial products for a long time or recent fluoride treatment, clay can combine and take out toxins. This seems to be a problem with calcium powder and seems to solve itself in a few weeks. But if there is a specific concern about the situation, check the whole dentist.
Q. Xylitol vs. Stevia, which one is better?
This is mostly a matter of opinion. There is a study that xylitol is very beneficial to oral health, but it is very toxic to dogs. Be very careful so that your pet doesn’t reach your hands! I use this birch derivative, non -GMO xylitol.
Q. Vodka vs. water?
The recipe works well with water, but many people have successfully used vodka to extend the distribution period. MCT oil is a better option that does not introduce water to toothpaste. Microorganisms can begin to grow in a few days in Mercury.
Q. Why is there no glycerin?
There is evidence that glycerin can suppress mineral absorption in Enamel. The study is not definitely decisive about the subject, but I feel that it is safer to avoid it in case. After using the glycerin -based toothpaste at the individual level, I saw that the teeth of relatives turned brown, switched to other brands, and returned to normal.
Q. Have you used this for a while by someone other than yourself and your family?
I have received dozens of emails with good results for those who use this toothpaste or regular reconstruction.
TINA provided these changes.
I began to add some hydrogen peroxide. It made it pressure. I do not use bentonite clay. Instead, use baking soda. Also add a few drops of grapefruit seed extract. There is still a fact that coconut oil is harder at colder temperatures.
Melinda adds:
This recipe actually shows my teeth and makes it feel fantastic. i like it! You may need to take a pressing tube to see how it progresses.
Q. I had the gum bleeding gum that I used the first several times. Is this normal?
I did not experience this personally, but I heard from many readers. In some cases, the pH is high and in some cases, it can come out of the baking soda that can stimulate the gums. Some have been reported to have experienced stimulated gums for several days or weeks and eventually solved themselves. If so, you can always reduce the baking soda.
Q. What type of container is best?
I use Gotoobs made of FDA approval silicone. They are suitable for reuse, travel and pressure without worrying about plastic leaching with toothpaste. I have one of these and I’m still getting stronger for over a year. Also, because it does not leak, it is used for oil cleansing blend when traveling.
