TEMU adds ‘import charges’ after Trump tariff.

According to CNBC, TEMU is adding about 145%of the “import fee” in response to President Donald Trump’s tariffs, CNBC reported.

The fee is more expensive than the product purchased by the US consumer, and in some cases, the standard order price doubles. For example, CNBC found that the summer dress costs sold in TEMU for $ 18.47 cost $ 44.68 after $ 26.21 for imports.

Shein also hikes the price, but does not implement the import fee.

TEMU and Shein were moved a few weeks after a few weeks of warning that they would raise the price of US customers in response to tariffs from April 25.

The business models of the two platforms were suspended, with 145%of tariffs on products made in China and decisions to end the customs exemptions allowed for less than $ 800 for Trump’s US tax exemption.
