Chinese retailer TEMU has changed its strategy in the face of US tariffs.
President Donald Trump ended the so -called DE Minimis rules through an administrative order, which allowed $ 800 to enter the country without tariffs. He also increases the tariffs on Chinese products by more than 100%, forcing both Chinese companies such as Shein and American giants like Amazon to raise their plans and prices.
According to CNBC, TEMU was also affected and US shoppers were added to the bills between 130 and 150%. However, the company is now no longer transporting products directly from China to the United States. Instead, only a list of products available in the US warehouse is displayed, while the goods delivered in China are indicated that there is no inventory.
“Temu is actively recruiting US sellers to join the platform,” said a Temu spokesman. “This action was designed to help local merchants reach more customers and grow their business.”
