The BBC visited migrant camps in northern France as the new deal was announced.

Britain is set to sign a new three-year deal with Paris to stop migrants crossing the Channel in small boats.

The deal, worth more than £600m, will see riot police deployed to French beaches.

The Interior Ministry said some of the funding would be cut off after a year if Paris did not stop the crossing.

The BBC’s James Waterhouse visited a migrant camp on France’s northern coast and spoke to those still considering crossing the river.
