What is Tuesday Travel?
Travel Tuesday, also known as Travel Deal Tuesday, is a shopping holiday created in 2018 by Hopper, an airfare prediction and booking app. The platform identified the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as the busiest day for airfare sales, with savings averaging about 20% on domestic and international round-trip flights on Travel Tuesday.
What’s behind the new trend? Travel Tuesday took shape over the past few years when hotels, airlines and travel sites began extending their Cyber Monday sales for several days. Brands have begun offering deals on hotel stays, airfare, vacation packages, and more, capitalizing on the idea that exhausted shoppers are ready to get away after a stressful holiday season.
When is Travel Tuesday?
Travel Tuesday is the day after Cyber Monday and the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year’s Travel Tuesday is December 3rd.
