The European Union is announcing measures for US tariffs on steel and aluminum imports fermented on Wednesday.

Existing retaliation tariffs on previous US missions for EU steel and aluminum will take effect again on April 1 after the suspension period and aim for a variety of products, including bourbon, boats and motorcycles. The European Commission will also implement a “new countermeasure package” by mid -April in accordance with the EU stakeholder for two weeks.

The tariffs of 2018 aimed at a number of US products, including Bourbon, whiskey, corn, orange juice, cranberry juice and peanut butter. The new measures may include additional tariffs on agricultural products, including poultry, beef, specific seafood, nuts, eggs, dairy products, sugar and vegetables.

This measure deals with US exports of up to 26 billion euros, consistent with the US $ 28 billion economic range.

The European Commission said that the US steel and aluminum tariffs are not justified, destructive and harmful to companies and consumers. But the EU added that he is ready to negotiate with the Trump administration to find a solution and reverse the countermeasures.

“The measures we have taken today are strong but proportional,” said Ursula Von Der Leyen European Commission.

European fellow US trading partners Mexico and Canada were also called that they did not justify the hatched obligations when they were first announced.

In Canada, the Trump administration planned to step down from the decision on Tuesday and further impose 25%of steel and aluminum obligations. The reversal occurred after Ontario stopped retaliatory premiums for electric exports.
