According to the preliminary accident survey report, the two fuel blocking switches moved to OFF position immediately after the start of the DOOMED AIR India 171 on June 12.
The report, published by the Indian Aviation Accident Investigation Bureau, does not conclude the cause of the crash, but the details will be investigated by the pilot.
Soup said that 260 passengers, crews and bystander were killed in the accident. The flight was arrested from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, but soon crashed after takeoff. It was operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and was driven by two general Electric Genx Turbofan engines.
Engine cutoff switches are generally used by pilots to supply power to airplanes when landing. The report said that within three seconds after takeoff, the cutoff switch of the two engines moved from the “execution” position to the “cutoff” position.
“In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots asked others why it was cut off.” “Another pilot replied that he didn’t.”
The assistant was flying at the time, and the captain played a monitoring role. The report did not respond to the pilot’s turning off the fuel blocking switch and that either was not turned off.
10 seconds after the switch moved to the cutoff position, the switch of the engine 1 was re -turned to the “execution” position, according to the report. The engine 2 switch was then rebuilt for 4 seconds.
Both engines showed immediate signs of reign. One engine began to restore thrust before collision, but engine 2 was not.
The flight transmitter stops the recording and shows a collision in 32 seconds after the lift off.
In this stage, according to the report, there are no actions recommended for the Boeing 787-8 airplane or the operator or manufacturer of the Genx engine.
The investigation of the conflict continues.
