Over the years, the weekend bike ride was a sacred escape for me. All pedal stroke helps to melt the stress factors accumulated throughout the week, and I have collected some gadgets to improve this ride. However, I learned a difficult way to get too much equipment to get out of the riding itself, and instead of just riding a bicycle, I can manage the ping and battery -level networks.
Ray-Ban Meta: Enter the weekend more simpler and more fun smart glasses.
Instead of taking pictures while wearing a pair of sunglasses and headphones and taking pictures by chance with a cell phone, there is a device that helps everything.

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses has been hit by more people than me. META sold millions of devices and said Mark Zuckerberg’s CEO has tripled last year.
Some Reddit threads and YouTube videos suggest that many people wear ray-ban meta glasses while riding a bicycle. Meta was also caught, which is known to have built next -generation AI smart glasses, especially with Oakley, which was produced for athletes.
I never expected to use Rayan meta for bicycles. But a few months ago I decided to test them.
Now I wear these glasses more than anywhere else. Meta is just enough with this smart glasses what here. Using it is almost joy, and you can arrive with some upgrades.

The main sales point of Ray-Ban Meta is just a pair of ray-ban sunglasses. Mine is a roadside style with a convertible lens and a transparent plastic body.
I work well to ride my bicycle, protecting my eyes from the sun, soil and pollen. They sit comfortably under the bicycle helmet, but are probably not perfect. (Later later.)
The killer feature of meta’s smart glasses is a camera on the right and left eye. With glasses, you can take pictures and videos of what you can see in the ride by pressing the button on the upper right corner of the frame instead of twisting on your phone.

Last weekend, while riding the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, I used Rayran meta -glasses to take a beautiful Blue Heron lake, a park -covered land where the park met the Pacific Ocean, and a tree covered with a tree at the entrance of the park.
Is the camera amazing? no. But it’s pretty good. And I will capture a moment that I could never have if I didn’t wear glasses. For this reason, you can see how to capture more photos and videos without seeing the camera as a replacement of a mobile phone camera.
I use the most common feature: There is a speaker that is open in the arms of the glasses, which allows people to listen to podcasts and music without blocking the noise of people, bikers and cars around them. Meta was far from the first company with the speaker in the glasses. BOSE has had a solid pair for several years. However, it is surprising to use meta’s open ear speakers. I was impressed by the audio quality and I was impressed by how little traditional headphones were in this ride.
I found a conversation with Meta’s AI assistant on the weekend ride. I recently asked about the nature I see throughout the park. -In addition to the origin of the historic building I saw.
In general, I used a bicycle as a way to pick a plug in the world, so it seemed semi -intuitive to talk to the AI chatbot during the ride. But this short query did not fall into the contents and notification rabbit holes, arousing curiosity about the world around me. This usually occurs when using the phone.
And again, the biggest advantage in these features is all in one device.
This is less charged, a bicycle gear box that can collide in the bicycle gear box, less confusing, and there are fewer devices to manage according to the ride.
dint
Ray-Ban meta glasses look great for walking, but not designed with a bicycle in mind.
Often, Rayan meta glasses fall under my nose while I’m rugged. When you bend a bicycle and look at what’s in front of me, a thick frame blocks my view. (Most sunglasses for bicycles have thin frames and nose pads to solve these problems.)
There are some restrictions on how Ray-Ban meta glasses work with other apps. I like to take pictures with glasses and stop music, but I have to come out of my pocket.
For example, Ray-Ban Meta has a spotify integration, but AI assistants have difficulty playing a specific playlist. Sometimes glasses were not played when I asked for a playlist or played all the wrong playlists.
I would like to improve this integration and expand it to include an app like Strava or Garmin and more bicycle integration.
Ray-Ban Meta also does not work well with the rest of the iPhone, which may be due to Apple’s restriction policy.
I want to easily launch text or explore Apple maps with Ray-Ban meta glasses, but it can not be available until Apple launches its own smart glasses.
It leaves Meta’s AI assistant. The AI function is often promoted as a major sales point of these glasses, but often found that it is lacking.
META’s voice AI is not as impressive as other voice AI products of Openai, Perplexity and Google. Its AI voices felt more robots, and I knew that the answer was untrusted.
I tested the recently released Ray-Ban META Live Video AI session and was first unveiled at the Meta Connect Conference last year. This feature aims to “see” the AI model of the cloud in the Ray-Ban Meta, streaming live video and audio to create a more perfect way to interact with AI assistant. In fact, it was a hot hot confusion.
I asked Ray-Ban Meta to identify an interesting car riding a bicycle near the apartment. The glasses described Hyundai Ford Bronco as a vintage Volkswagen beetle, but they don’t see anything. Later, the glasses confidently said that BMW was a Honda citizen in the 1980s. It’s closer but still a very different car.
During the Live AI session, I asked AI to help them identify plants and trees. AI says that eucalyptus is a tteok tree. “No, I think it’s an eucalyptus tree.” AI replied, “Oh, yes.” That experience is questioned why I am talking to AI at all.
Google Deepmind and OpenAI are also working in multimodal AI sessions, such as meta provided with smart glasses. But at this time, the experience is not over.
I would like to see an improved version of AI smart glasses that can ride a bicycle. Ray-Ban meta glasses are one of the most convincing AI devices I have seen, and I could see how to ride after some major upgrades.
