TV reporters and cameramen were attacked by masked men while covering anti-EU protests in Georgia.
Maka Chikhladze, a reporter for opposition TV Pirveli, was violently thrown to the ground, and cameraman Giorgi Shetsiruli was kicked in the head in an alley in the capital Tbilisi.
They were covering the tenth night of massive pro-EU protests in several cities. The protests are a response to Georgia’s increasingly authoritarian government halting the process of joining the European Union (EU).
