A dashcam inside a delivery truck shows the moment a vehicle clipped a United Airlines plane as it approached Newark Liberty International Airport outside New York City.
The plane departed from Venice, Italy and landed safely with no injuries among the 231 passengers and crew. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident and has ordered United Airlines to provide cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders. The airline’s maintenance team is also assessing damage to the aircraft.
