While working in a rural village in Australia, two police officers were nominated as a massive search for murderers continued.
Victorian police confirmed the victims with Detective Neil Thompson, a 59 -year -old officer who is in danger of retirement, and a 35 -year -old senior degeneration VADIM de Waart.
The couple is a real estate in Porepunkah, northeastern Melbourne, and has been a warrant with eight colleagues for alleged sexual crimes. In the shootout, another officer suffered serious injuries, but he is recovering after surgery.
The police said that the suspect, who was named 56 -year -old DEZI FREEMAN, said, “Still” “still” for more than 24 hours.
Police officers, helicopters and at least one armored vehicle are combed by Mr. Freeman. The locals were compared to finding a “needle in hay piles.”
In the statement, Mike Bush, the director of the police officer, said that the “destructive loss” of the two officers said that the “destructive loss” was “caught up in the heart.”
“It is lost to me that our members take risks every time they work to protect the Victorian community,” he said. “We all live with the knowledge that the worst situation can occur in change, but we do not expect it.”
On Wednesday, President Bush said the police said, “Pour out all the resources.”
He also refuted his previous media reports that he had taken his family hostage, confirming that Freeman’s partners and children were safe.
Since the shooting, Mr. Freeman has not been reported to know the local wilderness well, but the authorities are focusing on his efforts to Bush near his house.
President Bush said, “He will know the area better than us, so we are entering all experts who are supported by local knowledge.”
Surrounded by hills in the Alps of Australia, Porepunkah is about an hour’s drive from the New South Wales border, and President Bush says Mr. Freeman cannot rule out the possibility of leaving the country.
Misty-Rose Wilson, a local business operator, told the BBC that people looking for Freeman will fight a very thick bush and a very steep slope with terrible weather conditions and low visibility.
“If you know how hard it is to track the area, a little needle is very honest in hay,” she said.
Marcus Simpson, who manages operations in the local airfield, said the village was shocked.
“This is a good community, it’s tight, and everyone knows most people.”
“(Village) will require a slight healing process to overcome it.”
Freeman previously referred to himself as “sovereign citizens”, referring to someone who falsely believed that he was not the object of Australian law and government authorities. The hatred of his authority is well recorded in online posts, videos and court documents.
The police said it was too early to answer questions about Freeman’s beliefs, but the case revived the question of how the authorities deal with extremist views.
Some people, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony, mentioned the similarities between the shocking 2022 ambush against the Queensland police.
In an interview with ABC on Tuesday night, “This threat is very realistic and we must be very careful about it.”
