Indonesian rescuers are looking for Brazilian tourists who have fallen while hiking near the active volcano, Linzani.
The Brazilian media and the woman’s family confirmed her as 26 -year -old Juliana Marine, who was hiking with the group when she lost at 06:30 on Saturday (23:30 GMT Friday).
Brazilian authorities said she fell off the cliff surrounding the trail next to the volcanic crater.
According to the Indonesian authorities, search and rescue attempts have failed due to extreme terrain and fog.
Rinjani Mount officials said in a social media post on Saturday that rescuers heard the screams of Marines. At the time she seemed to be safe but shocked, they said.
The drone scenes and other clips taken by hikers who circulate online and transport by Brazilian media appear to have survived on Saturday. She saw her sitting around the gray soil under the hiking path.
But later, the rescue targets could not find her when she came down 300m (984 feet) as a place she believed to be located, and did not respond when she called her.
Until Sunday morning, the drone scene showed that she was no longer in her position, and the Park authorities added that dark mist interfered with rescue efforts and influenced the use of thermal drones.
On Monday, rescuers were able to find Microsoft Marine again, and he seemed to have fallen anymore, but he said he had to stop working due to “climate conditions.”
The rescuers said, “It developed only 2,50m and 350m left to arrive in Juliana, but retreated.”
The family also insisted that the park continued to open and tourists were still hiking on the same road.
Satyawan Pudyatmoko, a civil servant of the Indonesian Forestry Department, told the BBC that the route was not closed after the officials said, “It would not interfere with the evacuation process.
“The climbers were warned and instructed not to approach the evacuation site,” he added. He added that some climbers booked online and traveled long distances to arrive at Mount Linney.
“If you climb climbing, you would have been confused by climbers,” he said.
The BBC contacted MS Marins’ family and Rinjani Park authorities and presented opinions.
On Tuesday, Marins’ family wrote that her rescue operation began again for social media.
In an interview with Brazil TV Network Globo, two members of the MS Marins Group explained that hiking is difficult.
One man said, “It was really hard.” “It was so cold that it was really hard,” he said.
The other said that at the time of the accident, MS Marins was behind the group that hikes with the guide. “Before the sunrise, it was actually early early in a simple visibility condition to reveal the difficult and slippery terrain just by just a lantern,” he said.
The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that two embassy employees were sent to contact the Indonesian government and monitor rescue efforts.
Forestry official Satyawan On Monday, climbers said they should prioritize safety while hiking.
In 2022, the Portuguese died after falling from the cliff from the top of the mountain. In May this year, Malaysian hikers died after autumn while climbing volcanoes.
Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia and is a popular hiking place with tourists.
