
The US Federal Prosecutors announced a criminal prosecution against the Haiti gang leader Jimmy Cherizier, known as “Barbecue”, which leads the alliance of the gang that controls the parliamentary parliamentary parliamentary parliament.
The prosecution claims that Cherizier, as well as 48 -year -old US Citizen Basil Richardson, has requested a fund to pay money to gang members from the Haiti Diaspora community of the United States and to buy guns by violating US sanctions.

A US lawyer, Jeanine Pirro, said in a press conference on Tuesday, “There is a good reason for the $ 5 million rewards for the information leading to Cherizier’s arrest.”
“He is a gang leader in charge of terrible human rights violations, including violence against Haiti’s American citizens.”
The prosecution reportedly reported that 71 people were killed, more than 400 houses were killed in La Saline Massacre in 2018, and at least seven women were raped.
Richardson, arrested in Texas last month, is a natural American citizen grew up in Haiti, the prosecution says. He lived in North Carolina before being detained.
He is also known as Fredo, Fred Lion, Leo Danger, and Lepe Blode, and he helped gang leaders to raise money and raise funds to buy weapons.
John Eisenberg, the US Attorney General, said, “The two have helped the violent criminal company of the funds that lead the security crisis of Haiti.”
He added, “We will continue to pursue people who enable Haiti’s violence and instability.”
In May, US officials have designated VIV Ansanm, which controlled the capital as a foreign terrorist organization since 2020. Earlier this year, the group announced that it would declare a party.
Cherizier has been accused of violence in Haiti, under the sanctions of the United Nations, Canada and the United Kingdom in addition to the United States.
If he is arrested, he can be led to the United States. But he is in an important position on the street and is protected by his group members.
