On the east coast of Antigua, the wind feels different. Here you move faster between your palms, pushing some texture into the water and carrying the sound of the waves across the low hills. As you turn off the road and through the gate, the building first opens up across lush greenery and wide waterfront. The path winds between pastel cottages, swimming pools and two crescent-shaped sandy beaches. to The Veranda AntiguaYou don’t go into a single point. You choose your direction. Your vacation is up to you.
This is Adults only, all inclusive Resorts along Long Bay 2 beaches, 4 swimming pools, 4 dedicated pickleball courtsAlong with tennis, mini golf and non-motorized water sports. The space is large enough to allow you to change settings throughout the day without leaving the property. It’s a pretty fantastic set of daily options.
Two beaches, two different settings
Most all-inclusive rooms offer access to one main beach. Here, you get lover’s beach and rasta beachThey’re far enough apart that they feel like separate destinations.
Lover’s Beach is a more classic beach with soft sand, rows of loungers, and easy access to the water. With a wide stretch of coastline, you can secure a chair early or arrive late and still find a space. The water here tends to be a lighter blue, and beach infrastructure is close by. Bars and grills are within walking distance, so there’s no need to pack when grabbing a drink or a quick meal.
Rasta Beach changes the angle and vibe. Coastlines curve differently and winds blow from different directions. As you walk, the light on the water changes. It feels like a reset without any travel plans. Guests often alternate between the two beaches during their stay, treating them as separate chapters of the same trip.
The dual beach setting also spreads people out. Even if you have a higher share, you’re not competing for a single narrow strip of sand.
4 swimming pools throughout the property
of the resort 4 swimming pools Reinforce the meaning of your choices.
that main pool It operates as a central gathering place with a full service bar just steps away and many loungers arranged in a wide arc. This is where guests stay for longer periods of time alternating between swimming, reading and drinks.
that waterfall swimming pool Located slightly away from the main flow of traffic, it offers a unique atmosphere. The landscaping creates a more enclosed feel and attracts customers looking for a quieter space.
that villa pool We offer villa category accommodations, creating a more enclosed environment for guests staying in these rooms. They are convenient, generally quieter and closely linked to the residential layout of the area.
that Rasta Beach Pool It remains close to the coastline while still providing freshwater options. You can move between the sea and the pool in a matter of minutes and it becomes part of your daily rhythm.
Instead of one large pool deck setting the tone, decide on a setting that suits how you want to spend your afternoon.
Adults Only Transforms the Experience
Designated as adults only, you can enjoy your stay in a practical way.
Meals progress more evenly. The bar has a more relaxed feel. Pathways between accommodation and public areas are kept clean. There’s no exploring children’s activities or competing with family programs for space around the pool.
Suites are spread across the hills and waterfront, with private verandas offering private outdoor seating. Stepping away from the beach or pool doesn’t mean returning to dense tower buildings. You are walking into a self-contained cottage-style suite with an entrance and foyer.
The whole place feels like a lush, charming Caribbean village. That’s exactly the point.

Elite Island Resorts was actually the pioneer in bringing pickleball to the Caribbean, and it is definitely one of the best pickleball resorts in the world.
Features of the veranda 4 dedicated pickleball courtscomplete night light, covered seating areaand Equipment available upon request. This setup allows you to plan actual match play instead of playing on the fly on a shared court.

Tennis courts and mini golf expand the list of activities, along with kayaking, paddleboarding and other non-motorized water sports included in all-inclusive rates.
Eat in multiple places
There are several restaurants and bars, avoiding the bottlenecks common at some all-inclusives. You can always find a table.
Sea Breeze Restaurant This is the main buffet venue serving breakfast, lunch and themed dinners. Portofino Italian Restaurant We offer a la carte Italian dinner options in a more formal setting. Papa Rico’s Pizza Shop While the focus is on casual food, sailing and stories and The Beach Grill We offer comfortable beach dining. I would like to add that the pizza is really delicious and very welcome after a morning at the beach.
Bars are strategically placed throughout the building, including: pool bar, Lazy Pelican Beach Barand The Wave Wicket Pubtogether Cafe 17°61° For coffee drinks and light meals. Nicole’s Restauranta fine dining option with additional charges, offers a more sophisticated dinner experience for guests looking to celebrate a special evening.
Wavy Wicket in particular has been a longtime favorite of our editors, especially its food. Includes delicious tapas-style snacks that go well with cocktails.
Location on the east coast of Antigua
The resort is nearby Devil’s Bridge National ParkIt is one of Antigua’s best-known coastal landmarks. The Atlantic side of the island brings stronger trade winds and a more textured coastline than the quiet west coast. The wind keeps temperatures comfortable, especially in the warmer months.
This location offers a different character to the west coast resorts closer to Jolly Harbour. The color of the sea changes throughout the day and the coastline feels more open.
Why it’s suitable for couples and groups
Porches have a wide appeal.
With two beaches, you’ll never run out of scenery. Four pools prevent crowd pressure. A dedicated pickleball court gives active travelers something organized to return to each day. The adults-only policy keeps the overall tone consistent.
You can center your stay around beach time and cocktails. It can be organized around daily competitions and water sports. You can mix both. You can do exactly what you want.
In a destination known for its 365 beaches, this resort offers two without leaving the grounds. It can fill a whole day, as long as you choose to stay.
The Veranda Price
Currently, a room at The Verandah costs $600 all-inclusive, even in peak season. This is very good value considering the range of benefits you can get from your stay. You can currently find flights from New York to Antigua on American Airlines for around $356 round trip. This is what I saw on Google Flights.
