This new Barbie doll celebrates inclusivity. Here’s where to get yours before it’s gone.

Earlier this week, Mattel announced two exciting additions to its growing roster of beautiful, diverse, and inclusive Barbie Fashionistas dolls. In pursuit of accurate and respectful representation, Mattel has partnered with nonprofits that advocate for people with vision impairment and Down syndrome to create a blind Barbie doll and the first black Barbie with Down syndrome.

The Fashionista line, which launched its first doll with Down syndrome in April of last year, furthers Mattel’s mission to make Barbie more accurately reflect the diversity of the real world. Designed to inspire children (and people of all ages!) to see themselves in Barbie, the line now features more than 175 dolls representing a variety of skin tones, hair and eye colors, shapes and sizes, disabilities, and of course, fashion.

It's no wonder these inclusive, inspiring, and often groundbreaking dolls have garnered so much attention, so get yours now before they're gone!


Where can I buy this new Barbie doll before it sells out?

Mattel commissioned the National Down Syndrome Society to create this doll to celebrate people with Down Syndrome. She is wearing a lovely heart-print dress with a blue and yellow palette, a nod to Down Syndrome awareness. She also has matching pink glasses (both of which are practical. and Pretty, trendy pink shoes and long, braided hair.

Of course, the pretty floral dress with puff sleeves and ankle-length heels perfectly complements her outfit. She also wears a bold pink pendant necklace with three upward arrows, representing the third 21st chromosome found in individuals with Down syndrome.

Barbie Fashionista Doll with Cane and Sunglasses

Created in partnership with The American Foundation for The Blind, this doll’s pretty ensemble features plenty of texture, including a satin top and pleated skirt. She also comes with practical and very stylish silver aviator sunglasses and a articulated arm that can be used with the included white cane. Even cooler, her packaging spells out “Barbie” in Braille, and the doll’s outfit features brightly colored, high-contrast fastenings for accessibility.

It was released in June of this year (ahead of the recent, huh? Leadership change), we have a feeling this future leader Barbie is going to be a huge hit in the coming weeks. An inspiration to all kinds of young leaders, she comes in a variety of shades, including blonde, black, dark brown and light brown. Pictured here. Barbie Signature 2024 Barbie Holiday Doll

Because it is never It’s too early to be ready for the winter holidays, but Mattel released a line of Holiday Barbie Dolls earlier this month. The red-haired 2024 Holiday Barbie is currently only available at Walmart, but you can find equally gorgeous collectible dolls with different hair and skin tones on the official Mattel Creations website. Some are already available, while others are available for pre-order.
