This new St. Lucia luxury resort is opening soon with beachfront suites, personal butlers and plunge pools.

Rodney Bay is where Saint Lucia gets its energy. The marina is full of boats. Restaurants line the waterfront. The bar plays music until late at night. Along Reduit Beach, chairs are lined up on the sand and water taxis cruise across the bay throughout the day. This is one of the iconic places in the area. It’s a place where everything comes together to give you a real taste of the island in a fun and accessible way.

The family-owned Bay Gardens Resorts has been part of the scene for many years. Now they’re opening something different right on the beach, with rooms available starting June 1st.

Rodney Bay’s new luxury address

Bay Gardens Resort debuts Sapphire Sands VillaA new beachfront hotel located directly on Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay Village. The opening is scheduled for June and will add villa-style options to one of the island’s most active districts.

The property sits along the same sandy beach that attracts most of Rodney Bay’s daytime traffic. From the villa you enter the beach and into the middle of the beach.

This is the company’s first project built entirely around villa-style accommodation, and we’ve just gotten our first look at the new interiors (above).

Villa Living, Steps from the Sand

Sapphire Sands has 9 beachfront villas with a total of 27 keys. Each villa can be configured as a one-, two- or three-bedroom unit, making it suitable for couples, families or small groups traveling together.

The internal layout is simple. There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook. The living area is spacious enough to hang out without feeling like a hotel room. If you share a space, the bedrooms are separate to ensure privacy.

All villas have a balcony facing the water. Ground floor units are even closer to home with a selection of villas including private plunge pools located right on the beach. From there it’s a short walk across the sand to the waterline.

You can stay indoors and use the kitchen and pool, or walk straight to Reduit Beach.

A new restaurant with a clear identity

The property’s main dining venues are: Kimchi & CallalooThis is a waterfront restaurant that focuses on Asian-Caribbean cuisine.

The menu consists of shareable dishes focusing on local seafood and Korean barbecue. Tables face the water and are placed directly along the same beach that runs through Rodney Bay.

It’s something new and fresh, a different twist from the usual menu combinations in the area.

On-site wellness and fitness

Sapphire Sands includes full service. moonstone spaThere is a treatment room at the back from the main beach area. There is also a sunrise yoga pavilion facing the water and a fitness center for daily exercise.

This setting provides a quieter area within a part of the island that tends to be active throughout the day.

Waiting for the butler

Sapphire Sands Villas will also introduce dedicated butler service, a first for Bay Gardens Resorts.

The team has been drawn from across the company’s existing properties and staff have taken on new roles ahead of the opening. The training was delivered by Mastering Excellent Service, a Jamaica-based hospitality company, with a focus on villa-style service and direct guest interaction.

The program included live guest scenarios with a focus on timing, communication and discretion. Initial feedback during training showed steady improvement in service delivery, with customers responding positively to the service approach.

At the property, your butler will be responsible for pre-arrival planning, in-villa check-in, and coordinating daily tasks during your stay. This includes making meal reservations, spa treatments, arranging island activities and managing requests directly within the villa.

The service is structured around the villa experience, with staff assigned to assist guests throughout their stay without going through a central concierge desk.

One-stay access to 5 resorts

Guests at Sapphire Sands Villas are part of Bay Gardens Resorts. “Stay at 1 o’clock and play at 5 o’clock” program.

Why June Works

June is one of the most practical times to visit the Caribbean.

The water is warm and conditions are perfect for swimming along Reduit Beach. This is the start of the summer travel period, before demand peaks later in the season.
