Tiger Woods-Hosted Genesis Invitational moves to Torrey Pines following Los Angeles wildfires.
Riviera County Club is scheduled to stage a PGA Tour signature event between February 13-16, but the course is located in Southern California’s Pacific Palisades area, which has been defunct.
If the disaster persists and is not respected for those affected, the tournament will shift to San Diego before its expected return to the Riviera in 2026.
Torrey Pines is already a regular stop on the PGA Tour, hosting the Farmers Insurance Open, while also hosting the U.S. Open in 2008 and 2021, which Woods and Jon Rahm won respectively.
Woods said: “We are grateful to the City of San Diego and Torrey Pines for hosting the 2025 Genesis Invitational and to everyone who reached out to support the tournament.

“Riviera remains the home of the Genesis Invitational, but we look forward to playing at other championship Caliber golf courses this year and using the tournament to support those affected by the fires in the Los Angeles area.”
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan added: “As we’ve seen over the past two weeks, sport can be a huge turnoff, but it can also be an even greater unifier in bringing people together for a common cause.
“Highlighting the resiliency of Los Angeles and the need for continued support in its ongoing recovery efforts is what our collective team is working on to perform the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines.”
This year’s Genesis Invitational includes numerous Los Angeles-specific relief initiatives, details of which will be announced in due course.
