BANANA, a play-to-earn (P2E) game based on Toncoin (TON), has acquired over 8 million users in just four weeks since its launch.
According to a September 4 announcement, BANANA also has up to 1 million daily active users, 1.8 million cumulative linked accounts, and 73 million completed in-game tasks. The game attracted 1 million users in the first 72 hours of its launch and has continued to grow since then.
The game features a simple mechanic, where players collect bananas of different rarity levels with different attributes to earn PEEL points, which are then exchanged for rewards. These rewards can be up to 500 USDT, and BANANA is a P2E title.
BANANA leverages the CARV protocol to power the experience. CARV is a modular data layer that allows user data ownership, allowing users to own, control, and monetize their game data. Leo Li, CGO of CARV, said:
“Reaching 8 million users is a testament to the power of engaging and incentivized games on TON. (…) We’re not just celebrating numbers, we’re pioneering a new standard for data enrichment in the gaming world. Our goal is to create a transparent and fair data ecosystem that benefits both our business partners and the gaming community, and BANANA is leading the way.”
BANANA’s adoption is part of a broader trend of Toncoin-based games adoption, with other games on the platform such as Hamster Kombat and Notcoin also seeing significant adoption.
Observers reported that Hamster Kombat claimed to have 300 million users in late August. Nairametrics also reported that Notcoin had already distributed $1.5 million in rewards and had 40 million users three months ago. Li concluded:
“The combination of Telegram's reach and the compelling gameplay of TON-based mini-games like BANANA opens up new horizons of user engagement. (…) With millions of Telegram users already interacting with mini-apps, we're only scratching the surface of what's possible.
