TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea sign Aston Villa teenager Omari Kellyman on six-year contract |  Transfer Center News

Chelsea have signed Aston Villa attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman on a six-year deal.

The 18-year-old has made six first-team appearances at Villa Park and is a member of the England Under-19 team.

“It's fantastic to be here as a Chelsea player. It's a huge club with an incredible history, so I'm delighted to be joining,” Kellyman told Chelsea's official website.

“It’s definitely a dream come true. I’m thrilled to put the shirt on and can’t wait to get started.”

Kellyman began his career at Derby County, where he played for 10 years before signing for Aston Villa in 2022.

He featured for Villa's U18 and U21 teams during his first season and was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.

Kellyman took part in Villa's pre-season tour of the United States last summer and made his first-team debut in the Europa Conference League win over Hibernian in August 2023.

He played five more games for the senior national team last season, including Premier League matches against Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

Aston Villa signed Maatsen from Chelsea.
