Trump administrative cuts can threaten AI research efforts.

The Trump administration threatened the ability of institutions to maintain major AI studies of AI by dismissing a number of direct employees of the National Science Foundation for expertise in AI, Bloomberg reported.

One of the departments affected by the NSF was called to the board of technologies, innovation and partnerships. According to Bloomberg, many review panels have been delayed or canceled as a result of dismissal, and funding for some AI projects began.

AI experts accused the Trump administration’s recent production of scientific subsidies, especially the government efficiency of the billionaire Elon Musk. Geoffrey Hinton, an AI pioneer and winner of the Nobel Prize, urged the expatriation of Musk from the Royal Society of England in X’s posts.

Musk responded to Hinton’s post, “We will try to make mistakes and fix it.”
