Trump welcomes the teachers announced by Russia

Donald Trump said the US president said that President Vladimir Putin was “not much.”

Trump said on Wednesday that another prisoner would be released without revealing his name.

A 63 -year -old diplomat, FOGEL, landed on Tuesday evening and landed on Andrews outside Washington DC and traveled to the White House.

His release was said to have negotiated with US national security adviser Mike Waltz as part of Russia’s exchange with Russia. Russia did not immediately mention the release.

Standing with the White House Fogel, Trump said: “He seems good to me.”

He told reporters that release is a Russian “goodwill show.” It can be “a big important part of the Russian war in Ukraine.”

“We were treated very well by Russia,” he said. “In fact, I hope that it will be the beginning of the relationship that we can end the war and kill millions of people.”

Since Russia has invaded Ukraine almost three years ago, hundreds of thousands of people and the majority of soldiers have been murdered.

Trump described Russia as “very fair and very reasonable,” and said, “Others are being released tomorrow.”

Fogel said, “I feel like the best lucky person on the planet. “I am a middle class school teacher in the world of dreams.”

Fogel’s younger sister, Anne Fogel, said that her brother, who had previously detained in Russia in 2021, was transferred from Rybinsk’s punishment colonies on Wednesday. She knew that her family was possible, but the negotiations were “very passionate.”

The White House was posted on X after landing in the US soil. “Promise, I kept my promise!” With a picture of Fogel.

His wife, Jane, Son, Etan and Sam, the BBC’s US news partner, said in a statement from CBS News: “This was the darkest and most painful time in our lives, but today we start healing.”

FOGEL was arrested at the airport illegally with cannabis in 2021.

He was sentenced to 14 years in prison and 14 years in prison.

Fogel’s law team thanked Trump for his role in negotiations and criticized them as “bureaucratic activities” of the BIDEN administration.

“President Trump has not taken a decisive measure to bring Mark’s release in just a few weeks and bring Mark home,” he also sent to CBS.

FOGEL was incorrectly detained until December 2022 by December 2022 and was not classified by the US government.

His family tried to secure his release of former President Joe Biden and was disappointed when he escaped from prisoners in 2022 and 2024.

In 2022, the American basketball star Britney GRINER, arrested in Russia for a similar cannabis possession in 2022 Exchange with Russian Weapon Agency VIKTOR BOUT after 10 months.

Since then, the BIDEN administration has secured three Americans last year. Exchange of the largest prisoner between Russia and the west after the Cold War. Americans were Evan Gershkovich, US Marine Corps Veteran Paer Whelan, Russia-US Radio Reporter Alsu Kurmasheva.

Anne Fogel I told the BBC When she felt that her brother was not included in the prisoner exchange, Biden praised him for “diplomacy”.

Fogel from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a teacher at the English -American school in Moscow. He previously worked as a diplomat at the US Embassy.

While in prison, he taught fellow prisoners English.

I’m not sure if the United States has released someone in return for Fogel.

FOGEL returns to the United States with Trump’s special envoy to Steve Witkoff.

Witkoff’s trip to Russia is the first time in a few years by senior US management. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has made most of the contacts between the countries.

Waltz said, “We are moving in the right direction to end the cruel and terrible war in Ukraine.” He did not provide more details.

Trump announced on Tuesday that the Finance Minister Scott Bescent will travel to Ukraine this week.

During his presidential election, Trump promised to end the Ukrainian war in 24 hours.

But in an interview with Fox News on Monday, he said:

Anne Fogel asked the BBC about the links created by officials between the Ukrainian conflict and the conflict. “This is a huge machine processing of the world politics. It will be interesting to look back on it and look back on it. Everyone is right and history comes out.”
