
Two Israeli employees died outside the Jewish museum in downtown Washington, DC, by a man who said that the police shouted “free Palestine” after the attack.
The DC police added that the victims of young couples were shot while leaving the event at the Jewish Museum.
The shooting incident occurred in 21:05 local time (01:05 GMT) in areas where many tourist attractions, museums and government buildings, including the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
A spokesman for Pamela Smith said the suspect detained by the authorities caused a fire and entered the museum and was blocked by security.
Chicago’s 30 -year -old Elias Rodriguez is a four -member of four, and Smith said at a press conference.
The police added that the suspect did not interact in advance.
“We haven’t seen him placed on our radar in his background.”
The Ambassador of Israel at Yechiel Leiter, USA, planned to be engaged by a couple who were killed in this meeting.
Leiter said that male victims bought a ring this week and plan to suggest a trip planned for Jerusalem. The victim’s name is not disclosed.
“We heard a gun and seemed to be really worried. We thought we needed help.”

“My heart hurts for the young men and women of a woman.
“We are witnessing the terrible prices of anti -Semitism and the wildness of the Israeli state.”
The incident triggered major police response and closed the core distances of the city.
The Israeli embassy Tal Naim Cohen confirmed that two employees were shot by “near”.
The embassy said the authorities have “a complete faith in protecting the representatives of Israel and the Jewish community across the United States,” he said.
Ambassador Israel is known to be not at the museum event during the shooting.
Jojo Kalin, director of the US Jewish Committee, who helped the organization, said he did not witness the shooting case, but he felt “guilty” about what happened.
“I will not lose or receive humanity about this, and the Israeli and Palestinians are still eligible to be self -determined, and they can be deeply ironic,” she said.
According to CBS, Georgetown University’s DC campus was also temporarily locked.
“When we left the police, the security went downstairs and said we couldn’t leave,” said a student who closed the building for more than an hour.
Like many other Jewish institutions in the United States, the capital Jewish museum is struggling with security problems as anti -Semitism increases.
Beatrice Gurwitz, executive director of the Beatrice Gurwitz, said in a separate news report before Wednesday, “The Jewish agencies across the country are concerned about security because of the very terrible events faced by some institutions.”
The museum recently said that the new exhibition for LGBT Pride has received subsidies to partially upgrade security.
“We know that we have a threat to this,” Gurwitz said. “And again, we want our space to be welcomed and safe for everyone who comes here while exploring this story.”
Ambassador to Israel’s US Ambassador to the US Ambassador, Ambassador Mike Hukabee posted this attack on X to call the “terrorist attacks that the Israelites wake up this morning.”
