Nobu Hospitality continues its expansion efforts, adding hotels in New York and Bangkok.
Both hotels are affiliated with Thai real estate group Asset World Corp.
Both hotels are redeveloped from existing buildings and are scheduled to open in 2026.
In Manhattan, the Hotel Plaza Athenee New York, which has been closed since the start of the pandemic, will be renamed Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel & Spa New York.
The Upper East Side hotel is set to reopen with 145 rooms and will feature a Nobu Omakase dining experience, a bar and lounge, a rooftop venue for private parties, a Japanese hot spring, and a spa and wellness center.
In Bangkok, a building dating back to 1884 is transformed into Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel and Spa. Located along the Chao Phraya River, the hotel offers Nobu Cruise boats available for private events and other bespoke experiences.
These two hotels will join 36 existing Nobu Hotels worldwide, with the luxury lifestyle flagship property set to open in Atlantic City, New Jersey and San Sebastian, Spain later this year.
