Tyson Foods, Inc. Selling poultry processing complex The Arkansas-based company said Tuesday it has invested in House of Raeford Farms “to optimize its plant network.”
The poultry complex in Vienna, Georgia, processes chicken for local retail customers and employs hundreds of workers. If the sale is completed, House of Raeford Farms plans to continue operations using its existing workforce and network of growers.
Financial details were not disclosed. Tyson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“Tyson Foods’ decision to sell the complex is part of its ongoing effort to optimize its plant network, and the company will continue to fulfill customer orders at other production facilities,” the company said in a news release.
