Uber is a pilot account for teenagers in India.

The Uber began to control the 10 -centered Uber in India and TechCrunch learned exclusively.

Teen Ubers live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and MUMBAI, and Uber confirmed in TechCrunch. The company said it will expand its services to 35 cities, including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune in the next few weeks.

Through this service, parents and guardians can set up an account for teenagers (between 13 and 17 years old) and use their own devices to request them to travel directly. It also includes features such as live trip tracking and opt in audio recording.

Guardians can also book a ride for teenagers, and can also set monthly travel restrictions to limit the number of travels. Uber must invite a teen to a family profile by adding credit or debit cards to the account of India’s Guardians. After added, the guardian and the teenagers can book the ride using the payment method, including cash.

Teens can bring riders between 13-17 years of age, depending on the detailed information available on the support page, but it’s not clear how the mechanism of consent works.

Uber also said it will conduct additional background checks on the driver.

This action has been almost two years since the service began in the United States and Canada. We plan to grow in India and take domestic competitors OLA, Rapido, Namma Yatri and Blusmart.

According to the company’s Q4 results last month, Uber for TEENS lives in about 50 countries. The company also introduced a separate profile for teenagers in some markets to pay using its own methods and cash.

Over the past few months, Uber has added a few features, such as simultaneous rides, flexible pricing and prepaid item pickups, to meet the changing traffic demands of Indians. The company recently abandoned a commission for automatic rickshaw reservations and imposed a daily subscription fee instead.
