Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni holds a strong lead in provisional presidential election results on Thursday, the election agency said.
Results announced Friday morning showed Museveni leading with 76% of the vote, based on 45% of polling stations across the country.
He was followed by opposition leader Bobi Wine with about 20%.
Ugandans voted in a tense national election on Thursday after an often violent campaign in which President Museveni, 81, is seeking a seventh term.
