Lee Carsley said his next challenge was to win the UK and U21 euros in England in 2027 that the young Lions won the title with a 3-2 victory over Germany.
Ten days after losing 2-1 in the same game on Carsley’s sides, the 92-minute winner of Jonathan Rowe won an extra victory at Bratislava.
It followed the victory of Spain in the 2023 edition and repeats the side of Dave Sexton, which was achieved in 1982 and 1984.
Carsley, who was in charge of six senior games between Carsley- Gareth Southgate and the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, signed a new two-year contract earlier this month until the end of the tournament in Albania and Serbia.
speaking Channel 4 Immediately after the victory, he said: “I’m really proud of the players: the promises they have shown in the last 28 days, all the instructions we tried to put on them too quickly, they boarded it and have a lot of faith.
“When we are in St George’s Park, this squad believes they can win and they are the players we need.
“I’m so happy for them. The second time to become a European champion is a big achievement, and now the challenge is to do it again in two years.
“All the frustrations we have, the players just gathered, I said that the longer you stay when the tournament starts, the better you can play.
“I didn’t think we played well tonight. I probably sat down so deeply and I didn’t think I had much control as much as I wanted, but I probably won’t remember it in a few days.”
Next year’s World Cup added what role it will play in TUCHEL’s backroom setting in the lead up.
“I like my job, I am very proud of what I do, and I like to work with the players.
“I have a chance with the chief team and I like it. So my best way is to help the aisle and help the senior team.”
Match-Winner Rowe: I had a way of thinking to help.
In Channel 4, Jonathan Rowe:
“Everyone is exception. From the moment I entered the camp, I could say that everyone had the same way of thinking. We all wanted to win.
“We have done that now -the job is finally over and we can congratulate you all!
“I went into the game in an accident -like way to help the team. I didn’t start, but at some point I found out that all of us on the bench should make a difference and help the team to push over the line.
“I’m so happy to be able to do that in front of people who are important tonight.”
‘This will be as satisfied as 2023.’
Sky Sports Adam Bate in Brick Fall:
“How much victory, achievement. The United Kingdom has raised this trophy without acknowledging the goal two years ago, but it will be satisfied with its own way because it was frustrated to win again.
“Too many impressive performances were explained by the fact that six alternatives appeared in the finals, and three of them achieved their goals.
“I reminded me that the British did not win this tournament for 39 years. They now maintain it. The quality and depth of young talents are amazing, and Lee Carsley has a coach that provides a platform for coaches.”
Foster: If Carsley receives PL Job, it is good for British football.
Former U18, U19, U20 Boss Ian Foster Sky Sports News:
“Mr. Lee can’t do it anymore. It’s interesting to see what suggestions are, suggestions, and what he wants to do about it.
“I have been looking at LEE’s achievements for the last few years and I will wonder if he’s the next person.
“I think it would be good for British football if Lee worked in the Premier League and showed what he could do to everyone.
“But now he will be very proud of his achievements.”
