The Russian drone attack hit the radiation shelter on the damaged reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, said Ukrainian President VolodyMyrensky.
Overnight strikes caused a fire that was extinguished by facing the shelter of the previous fourth power unit destroyed in the factory.
As of Friday morning, the level of radiation has not increased at the factory, Zelensky said.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it responded in a few minutes after a fire safety agent and a vehicle exploded overnight. The agency added that casualties were not reported.
