Robert Tollast, a ground warfare expert at the Royal United Service Institute, told BBC Verification that some brigades were estimated to need up to 1,000 tonnes of fuel, food, ammunition and other critical supplies every day. He said Ukraine had previously conducted long-range strike operations against Russian air defense units, but the new drone strike range was “something else.”
