UN staff fired for alleged links to October 7 terror attacks

The United Nations said nine staff members of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNWRA) may have been involved in the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7.

UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq said all nine had been terminated.

Last fall's unprecedented attacks left some 1,200 people dead and 251 taken hostage in the Gaza Strip.

“We have enough information to take action to terminate these nine individuals,” Mr. Haak said.
