United to resume service to Israel in March: Travel Weekly

United plans to resume flights to Israel in early March, making it the first U.S. airline to return to Israel since the war between Israel and Hamas began on Oct. 7.

“To make this decision, we conducted a detailed safety analysis, including working closely with security experts and government officials in the United States and Israel,” United Airlines said in a statement. “We have also worked closely with the Airline Pilots Association and Flight Attendant Associations to develop protocols to ensure they are safe and well informed.”

United will offer one-stop service from Newark to Tel Aviv via Munich on March 2 and March 4, and has said it hopes to resume daily nonstop flights between Newark and Tel Aviv on March 6. Yes. A second daily Tel Aviv flight may be added from Newark. In May.
