Six students interviewed by the BBC, including Ma Naw Phaw, each paid around €10,000 to BFW. It costs 8,000 euros to learn Finnish and 2,000 euros to apply for a visa. Despite receiving offers of admission from Finnish institutions, five of them had their residence permits rejected due to ‘lack of financial proof’ and ‘documentation delays’, the students say.
