US-Israel retaliation continues for second day after Iran attack

US President Donald Trump warned in a statement posted on Truth Social that US casualties during operations in Iran are “likely to be higher.” This comes as US Central Command (Centcom) said three US soldiers were killed and five were “seriously injured”.

A missile attack occurred in Beit Shemesh, Israel, killing nine people, a medical institution said.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials said an airstrike on a school on Saturday killed at least 153 people, including children. Iran blamed the United States and Israel. Centcom said it was investigating reports of the incident, and the Israeli military said it was “unaware” of the nature of the IDF’s operations in the area.

The UAE said three people had been killed in Iranian attacks since last Saturday, while one person was reported dead in Kuwait.
