This simple buttercream frosting starts by mixing (vegan) butter and powdered sugar with an electric mixer. Soft, light and fluffy.

Using an electric mixer, whip the vegan butter and powdered sugar.

Then flavor of fall: Pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and a little salt to enhance the flavor (optional, but recommended if using unsalted butter).

Add pumpkin pie spice to a bowl of vegan buttercream topped with a scoop of pumpkin puree.

Mix again and you will get great results. Subtly pumpkin-like Frosting full of fall flavors!

  • 2 table spoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat softened vegan butter and sifted powdered sugar until smooth, light and fluffy.

Or, if you want to use it later, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator to prevent it from melting. You can store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
  • When ready to use, let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes and stir well before frosting cakes/cupcakes.
