
The legendary investor Warren Buffett told Berkshire Hathaway’s board of directors at the end of 2025 that Greg Abel would replace him as a CEO.
Buffett said at the end of the annual shareholders’ meeting ahead of the board meeting on Sunday, “I think Greg has arrived at the end of the year.
At the same time, Buffett, a 94 -year -old, said he would be “hanging” with his ability. He and Abel told CNBC that they would use a Sunday board meeting to discuss what Buffett’s official role is.
Buffett previously identified Abel, the vice -chairman of Berkshire Hathaway for non -insurance, as his successor, but he did not say when he would take over.
Technology is one of the many areas invested by Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway, but it has made a big bet on the industry. Even after selling half of Apple shares last year, the company represents more than 20% of its portfolio.
