The Met Gala presented its annual high fashion parade at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, with Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour co-chairing the Costume Institute fundraiser. This year’s dress code was “Fashion is Art,” inviting guests to interpret fashion as an embodied art form.
The annual fundraiser, held on the first Monday in May, raises funds for the museum’s Costume Institute and celebrates the opening of its major spring fashion shows.
The event raised about $31 million in 2025, the largest total in its 77-year history, according to museum officials.
