The crew on the 10-day mission plans to circle the moon, traveling further from Earth than ever before without landing on the moon. Following the unmanned Artemis 1 mission in 2022, NASA’s Artemis program is preparing a deep space mission with the ultimate goal of reaching Mars in the 2030s.
