It’s officially spring break in NYC schools, so my kids are out of school for 12 days.
We don’t have any major spring break plans other than heading to our Pennsylvania lake house for a few days with some friends. Instead (I know I’ve mentioned this before), we’re getting the kids out of school in May and taking them to Disney and Universal for a week. They have no idea, and I know they’ll lose their minds! Especially Nate, who is now completely immersed in the world of Harry Potter and wants to keep going. This week is a holiday so hopefully we avoid the typical crazy crowds.
Kids travel aside, some girlfriends and I are planning a Euro trip in June. Now that it’s the last minute, who knows how it will all play out? The original plan was to take a girls’ trip to Paris, but with the Olympics coming up, we decided to cancel that plan and change course. Now it is a match between Spain and Portugal. I’ve only been to Barcelona and none of the other girls have been there.

When it comes to reading, I definitely like my shit. I’m not proud of it, but I like what I like. A few years ago, when I read The Idea of You, one of my favorite books, I joined a book Facebook group. To this day, I am part of a group that receives book recommendations. Someone recommended ‘I’m old’ And while it’s not a book for everyone, I can’t put it down.
