How much do you feed?
Most of these Recipe serves 4 to 6 people. This is my favorite dinner math. If you’re feeding four people, you’ll probably have a little extra for lunch the next day. If you’re feeding six people, you can get dinner on the table without having to double everything or overthink it.
Why Weekly Meal Planning Works
- Panic before 5pm: Dinner has already been decided, so there’s no need to stare at the fridge hoping it’s planned.
- Fewer decisions: Now one quick plan means you don’t have to answer what’s for dinner every day.
- Shopping Smarter: Grab what you need, skip the random extras, and actually use what you bought.
- Skip the Drive-Thru: If you plan dinner, you’re much less likely to end up in the fast food line because everyone is hungry by now.
I always include a printable shopping list in my weekly meal plan, measure it out, and have it ready to eat. It makes things so easy and saves time. This will help you feel better on weeknights more manageable! Check out all of my weekly meal plans here.

Storing Leftover Food
Sometimes something happens over the weekend, so I only plan meals for Monday through Friday. If you have leftover food, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
