The police said they hope that a 20 -year -old man who started a sniper attack on Aida Ho’s firefighters will kill two people, hit the third person, and become a firefighter.
After the Wess role, two firefighters died and were injured in a third injury, and they were burning in the Canfield Mountain in the north of the Sunday evening.
Officials say that the roles have lit to fire. They say he wanted to be a firefighter himself, but no motivation for attack was yet found.
Over time, the police SWAT team found a dead person close to where the attack occurred.
Roley moved to Aida Ho in Arizona in 2023 and worked for his father’s wooden trimming company and said in a social media post. Officials say that at some point, he opened a fire in the tree where he went up.
In an update shared in October 2024, his mother wrote, “I live in Ida.”
The police believe that Roley deliberately starts fire using a flint found near his body.
Bob Norris Sheriff said, “This was a total ambush, and these firefighters had no chance.
One of the dead firefighters worked in the city’s firefighting service, and the other firefighters worked at Kootenai County Fire and Rescue.
The third said, “I was fighting for his life, but I am in a stable state.”
The Governor of Aida Ho ordered the flag on the anti -staff on Monday and ordered them to fly the flag to honor the firefighters.
Norris’s first report on the fire of the Mountainside Community was made at 13:21 pst (21:21 BST), and after 40 minutes the firefighter was shot, Noris said.
Norris has increased to 26 acres after the so -called Nettleton Gulch Fire was first reported and continued to be burned on Monday, Norris said. No structure is threatened, and public officials hope that the flame will be destroyed until Monday night.
More than 300 lawyers from the city, county, state and federal authorities responded to shooting cases, including two helicopters with snipers.
Norris thought that the suspect fired quickly using a high -performance rifle on the first respondents, and the executives were not convinced of the number of offenders involved at first.
The shot was recovered and several bullets or sculptures were found on the rifle. Officials say more guns are hidden in the mountains.
After an hour of shooting, the suspect was found by tracking a cell phone on a popular hiking trail, and the officials were used by hundreds of Sunday afternoons.
Norris said at a press conference on Monday, “He seems to have been shot by himself.”
Norris added that the suspect did not have a history of crime and moved to Aida Ho in 2024 and had five “very minor” pre -interactions with the police.
The sheriff said there was no “manifest”. He recently deleted several social media posts and added that he seems to be “temporary” in a car found near the fire.
In order to prevent the suspect from running away, the officials disabled the vehicle and “pushed it in the mountains,” the sheriff said. They were not yet able to access the car for a more thorough search.
Some fire department vehicles also saw the tires flattened to prevent the suspect from running away.
Norris ruled that the suspect had a “Nexus for Islamic Jihad.” He said he was falsely proposed in social media.
Before the attack began, the suspect interacted with firefighting officials in response to Bush Blaze, the sheriff said. He appears to be related to suspicious vehicles, but he did not disclose the details of the meeting.
Roley’s grandfather dreamed of becoming a firefighter in NBC news on Monday, saying, “I actually respected the law.”
Dale Lolly said, “He loved the firefighter.
“It doesn’t make sense that he’s shooting a firefighter. Maybe he was rejected.”
His grandfather added, “I was contacted to get a job at the fire station.”
