Hello friends! How has your summer been so far? It’s hard to believe that summer is already halfway over. The UK actually tried really hard to give us summer. So I guess I’m still wearing long sleeves most days, but thankfully we don’t have to wear all our layers like we normally do. One retailer that’s hitting the jackpot with great styles this summer is J.Crew!

When it comes to my personal style, I always prefer classic, timeless, wardrobe staples, and J.Crew has always been a perfect fit for me. I have been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. Does anyone miss seeing Jenna Lyons at the helm?? I love her! However, I’m glad that it still looks the same as it did during the J.Crew days. As a retailer, this is a place I can trust all year round, even in the middle of summer!
So today, in celebration of summer, I thought I’d share some of my favorite J.Crew looks these days. Let’s jump in!
What I Loved at J.Crew Over the Summer
They definitely have an American vibe in a color way that’s always fun for the summer season.
• This ruffle top is super fun for dinner with friends or a beach vacation.
• Hey guys, I don’t often choose red, but I’m so tempted to buy that red polka dot dress. I really like the silhouette! It also comes in several solid colors.
• To be honest, I can’t get away from their dresses. I ordered this blue and white dress, this white linen dress, and this dreamy dress in white.
• I’ve never pulled the trigger on these jeans, but I want them so bad! So cute!
• You all know I love crocheting this summer, so I love this bikini top. Check out this post for more crochet creations!
stylish look
There are quite a few of the pieces featured in the graphic above, but for some reason I couldn’t showcase the full J.Crew look, so I’m featuring one piece in the look you see here today. This embellished button up shirt is giving me 2014 vibes and I’m here for it!
Embellished blue pinstripe button-up shirt
The button-up shirt I styled in the photo above is probably one of my favorite pieces from J.Crew lately! If you know me, you know that I love a quality button-up shirt, but this one is unique. Small embellishments overlaid on blue and white pinstripes make this shirt special. I liked the styling of this shirt with a long white maxi skirt, but I think it would go well with jeans as well as a blazer.
lace-up leather sandals
Lace-up leather sandals you don’t want to miss! I love how simple they are yet still on trend. Lace-up sandals like this pair are one of my favorite types of sandals to style with skirts and dresses all summer long. These comfortable sandals can be worn all day while always adding a summer vibe to any look.
mid-rise cropped jeans
One thing to note about J.Crew: don’t sleep in your jeans! These mid-rise cropped jeans are so cute and classic for summer. The raw hem makes these jeans perfect for warm-weather style and pairs well with sandals or flats. These jeans are made from highly stretchy denim, making them comfortable to wear even in the heat.
