What I wore in LA – permanent style

When I was packing for my recent trip to LA, it occurred to me that this would probably be the least tailored piece of clothing I’ve ever brought on a business trip.

most of us Check out casual brands and vintage stores.Even launching a magazine from Buck Mason isn’t necessarily wise. After all, they are essentially a casual brand, and it’s always good to dress appropriately for the people and location, so a suit and tie wouldn’t have been right.

So in the end I only took one tailored jacket and one pair of pants. And because of my mild obsession with making the most of minimal clothing, both of those clothes had to go with the others as well.

The jacket I chose was mine. Double-breasted linen by CiardiCasual clothes that go well with both blue jeans and black jeans, as well as the tailored pants I brought. Dark brown high twist on the trunk.

Above is a jacket with jeans. The jacket was worn only once with brown tailored pants, but it looked stylish with a cream-colored silk shirt, black shoes, and a black belt. With these accessories and the overall high-contrast palette, Sunset Tower felt smart enough to enjoy cocktails (if you want to pick a random example…).

The pants were a pretty smart choice, but still worked well with pieces like the PS Cream Linen Overshirt (above).

Like the tailored outfits mentioned, they were purposely made smartly to match the trousers. So, I paired it with a knit t-shirt rather than a regular t-shirt, and black loafers rather than a casual t-shirt.

But let’s go back to the beginning. When planning this trip, as always, I started with pants. After choosing jeans, black jeans and brown high twists, I turned to the jacket. The cream linen jacket went well with all three, as did the cream linen overshirt.

Next up was the ever-reliable jungle jacket. This jacket went well with both jeans and was a reliable travel item. Even if you only have one t-shirt with too many pockets and a fit that covers everything, you still look great.

The bed arrangement below is like this. Imagine me putting the pants down in the center and adding other pieces around it.

At the top of this post you can see how I wore the jungle jacket one day with black jeans and a black knit t-shirt (ruvato). The brightly colored sunglasses in that outfit are a great example of using accessories to make a fairly functional outfit more interesting (this one is from Zephirin model Jacque Marie Mage).

It’s really useful to have a few things like this on hand when traveling. Scarves and hats fall into the same category. The sunglasses in the other photo are less unusual (photo by EB Meyrowitz). They’re still great, but they might not necessarily be the first thing that catches your attention.

By the way, I will review Jacques Marie Mage later. It’s interesting to think how much sunglasses are expanding now, and indeed how popular sunglasses as a whole are becoming as a men’s fashion accessory.

At the last minute I added PS Linen Harrington to this packing list. Because it is lightweight and does not take up much space. I hesitated to buy it because I thought it wouldn’t go well with jeans or tailored pants.

But it was very nice to wear. As you can see in the outfit above, this was before dinner at Redondo Beach one evening. Yuki Matsuda. The cigarette suede overshirt is not pictured with this outfit but was very useful. It is a smart/casual crossover product that goes well with all pants. As recently mentionedIt’s quite an LA piece.

Shoes were also added late. To begin with, I wore Alden black full-strap loafers, Superga tennis shoes, and PS boat shoes, which I felt were versatile and versatile. But when we finished packing and knew we had room, a black City-Moc was added as well.

It was added primarily for comfort. They were used as a backup in case other shoes caused problems. For example, this is great if your feet hurt after being out all day and you want to change into different clothes for dinner.

Shirts and t-shirts were mostly neutral colors, including white, black and the universally useful blue denim. It looks like a black and white knit t-shirt stacked underneath a jungle jacket and suede overshirt, with the regular version stacked underneath.

The knits are in similar tones, the shorts are beige, and the swim shorts are in cigarette color. The only other pieces not shown here are the two caps, PS chino pants, and a denim overshirt (basically an oversized chambray).

A big, lightweight shirt like this is really useful for summer travel because it can basically function as a casual jacket (especially with the two pockets on the chest) and can be worn on its own at the beach or pool.

In the outfit above I am wearing one (from Jack Fort, size small!). It feels very LA look. There’s a lot of denim and it’s very relaxed, but the matching makes it a bit fashionable too.

The last outfit image I have is the photo above, which includes beige PS chino pants and a black Finest Polo. It’s interesting how much more dressed up you feel when you wear black with your chinos.

I think that’s it. Please let me know if you have any questions. But most of your clothes should be something that most people connect with or are familiar with. I hope this gives you some inspiration during your summer vacation.
