What We Learned From Bill Gates’ Epstein Testimony

Billionaire Bill Gates testified Wednesday about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein during a closed-door hearing before the House Oversight Committee.

Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft and one of the world’s most prominent philanthropists, told members he knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes and that Epstein had tried to use information about his private life to put pressure on him.

In his opening statement, Gates said he made poor judgment when he met Epstein and was “one of many people who regret knowing him.”

The BBC’s Gary O’Donoghue analyzed Gates’ relationship with Epstein and lawmakers’ reactions to his testimony.
